Mrs. N.H. Indika Hettiarachchi is a mother of four children. Her husband Cpl. Gamini Hettiarachchi is disabled with head injuries. Mrs. Hettiarachchi has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and the doctors have prescribed a very expensive course of injections. Each injection costs LKR 242,000.00 and twelve (12) such injections need to be given twenty days apart.
Cpl. Hettiarachchi has so far managed to find eight injections. Six injections were obtained by Cpl.Hettiarachchi with his pension fund; one was given by the president’s fund and the other by the Ranaviru Seva Authority. Having exhausted all his finances, Cpl. Hettiarachchi is in no position to find the other four injections. We are appealing to all our donors help us fund at least two injections.

Update 2: 15-07-2016
Following the 12 Herceptin injections administered to Mrs. Hettiarachchi, she was requested to undergo a comprehensive MRI scan to further assess her conditions. This scan has cost over LKR 175,000.00 and some of the cost has been funded by donors and well wishers in Sri Lanka. Ranaviru Fund has transferred the remaining funds (£289.00) collected for this campaign allowing her to pay for the necessary treatments. Enclosed below is the payment made to the Asiri Surgical Hospital on behalf of Mrs. Hettiarachchi.
